She began working in a local emergency room and, then, as a locum tenens in various ER’s and family practices across 8 different states. In 2005, she began her family practice residency at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Long Island, New York. She discovered that her enthusiasm for the ongoing care of patients outweighed her enjoyment of procedures and surgery itself. She moved to the greater Seattle area in 2008 and continued to do locum tenens work. She joined Bellevue Family Medicine in October, 2015.
A career in family medicine allows her to treat patients of all ages and with all sorts of medical issues. She feels with her experience and her love of medicine, she can help each patient direct their care through a complicated medical system. She truly enjoys being able to provide a “home-base” for her patients and their health. Ultimately, she feels that her role as a physician is to empower her patient to take responsibility for their health and health care, while she gives them the information and the tools to do so. She recognizes that it is both an honor and a privilege to be allowed into her patients’ lives as she guides them toward better health.
