Rebecca McKanna, A.R.N.P., M.S.N.
Rebecca McKanna was born and raised in Seattle. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in 1996, she worked in the neurology department at Children’s Hospital in Seattle.
Rebecca moved to Boston in 2001 to start her graduate studies and worked as an RN at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her master’s degree in nursing at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and became an advanced registered family nurse practitioner in 2004. Following the completion of the program at MGH, Rebecca worked as an ARNP for Family Doctors in Swampscott, Massachusetts for five years.
After the birth of her first son, Rebecca and her husband made the decision to move back to the Seattle area to be closer to family. Rebecca has been with Bellevue Family Medicine since 2009, and she truly enjoys the opportunity to help such a wide variety of patients. Rebecca has a particular interest in pediatric and adolescent health, as well as women’s healthcare issues. Rebecca believes it is important to educate patients and stresses the value of preventative medicine.
Rebecca enjoys running and being outside, and has completed both marathons and triathlons. In addition to spending quality time with her husband and two young children, she loves to cook, garden, and read a good book.
